Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Franklin County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in April.

Staunton River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Franklin County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8-2.

Staunton River has already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Northside on the 8th. As for Franklin County, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against William Byrd on the 9th.
