Soccer Game Preview: Lindbergh vs. Sultan

The Lindbergh Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Sultan Turks at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Lindbergh played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against Renton as Lindbergh made off with a 4-1 victory. Considering Lindbergh's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Sultan entered their tilt with Yelm on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Tornados 5-1. That's two games straight that Sultan have won by exactly four goals.

Sultan now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lindbergh, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Lindbergh took their victory against Sultan in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lindbergh since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
