Baseball Recap: Evangelical Christian Comes Up Short

If Evangelical Christian was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of St. Benedict at Auburndale last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Evangelical Christian Eagles lost 7-1 to the Arlington Tigers on Friday. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Knox Aaron was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Evangelical Christian fell to 2-1. As for Arlington, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Evangelical Christian will face off against South Pontotoc at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Evangelical Christian is facing South Pontotoc at the right time seeing as South Pontotoc is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Arlington, they will head out on the road to take on First Assembly Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
