Baseball Game Preview: La Pine Hawks vs. Madras White Buffaloes

The La Pine Hawks will face off against the Madras White Buffaloes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

La Pine managed to slip by North Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hawks came up short against the Knights on Monday, falling 12-2. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

La Pine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Flack, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Flack's first of the season.

Meanwhile, while it was Madras who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Burns who put up more. The White Buffaloes lost 12-6 to the Hilanders.

Jared Penaloza made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Nakomis Rivera was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

La Pine now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Madras, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

La Pine was able to grind out a solid victory over Madras in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, winning 5-1. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the White Buffaloes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
