Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian). They blew past the Newman International Academy Warriors 78-44 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayden Pillow, who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Pillow a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Arianna Miranda, who put up 15 points and five rebounds.
Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 2-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Newman International Academy, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will finish 2024 at home by hosting Christian Heritage on December 26th. As for Newman International Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Community Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
