Baseball Game Preview: Veritas Academy vs. Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders

Veritas Academy are taking a road trip to square off against the Round Rock Christian Academy Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Veritas Academy hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Veritas Academy lost 16-1 to Hill Country Christian School of Austin on Friday.

Veritas Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Wiechman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Round Rock Christian Academy). They put the hurt on Concordia with a sharp 15-0 win on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Round Rock Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Ethan Leverenz, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Leverenz has posted since back in February. Miles Gittinger was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Round Rock Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Veritas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
