Baseball Recap: Marksville Comes Up Short

Marksville fell victim to Mamou and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Mamou Demons. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Marksville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Mamou, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Buckeye's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Marksville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mamou, they will challenge Merryville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merryville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Mamou surely won't give up without a fight.
