It's playoff time, and Caldwell had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the River Pilots a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Redskins, who have now won nine contests in a row.

The result came thanks to Makayla Mumaw's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cami Arick and Mea Hendershot did most of the damage at the plate: Arick went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Hendershot went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Breighlee Moracco, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Caldwell's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for River, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Caldwell will square off against Conotton Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Redskins 3.3, the Rockets 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
