Volleyball Recap: Debbie Smith CTE Academy Takes a Loss

The Debbie Smith CTE Academy Mavericks lost 3-0 to the McQueen Lancers on Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-6.

McQueen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nya Lagrone, who had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Lagrone a new career-high.

Debbie Smith CTE Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for McQueen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Coming up, Debbie Smith CTE Academy will welcome Lowry at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McQueen, they will head out to face off against Spanish Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
