Baseball Recap: Dequincy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

DeQuincy waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Hornbeck Hornets.

Turner Rodriquez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pettifield, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

DeQuincy's win bumped their record up to 23-10. As for Hornbeck, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Looking ahead, DeQuincy will square off against Vinton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hornbeck, they will take on Avoyelles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
