Baseball Recap: Mountain Ridge Sentinels vs. Viewmont Vikings
Mountain Ridge lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Viewmont, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. Mountain Ridge blew past Viewmont 7-1 on Wednesday. This was payback for the Sentinels, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.
Ethan Iacono was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cooper Goff, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Iacono wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mountain Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Viewmont only managed three hits.

Mountain Ridge pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Crean Lutheran's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Viewmont's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
