Basketball Recap: Grenada Takes a Loss

Grenada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Center Hill Mustangs. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 57-41 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Grenada lost, don't look at Zayion Cotton. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Garan Edwards, who posted four points and nine rebounds.

Grenada's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Center Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Grenada will head out to face off against Rosa Fort at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center Hill, they will welcome South Panola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Panola knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Center Hill likes a good challenge.
