If Pike Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Tecumseh, they should've done a better job of containing Hazel Melton. The Tecumseh Braves blew past the Pike Central Chargers 49-16 on Tuesday thanks in part to Melton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those 14 points gave her a new career-high.
The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Kissel, who posted three points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
The victory got Tecumseh back to even at 9-9. As for Pike Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.
Tecumseh will face off against Southridge at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pike Central, they will square off against Perry Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
