Basketball Game Preview: Harman Panthers vs. Tygarts Valley Bulldogs

Harman is 0-10 against Tygarts Valley since January of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Harman Panthers will be playing at home against the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Harman took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They strolled past Lighthouse Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 61-44.

Harman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gage Ketterman out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Shifflett, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Tygarts Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took an 83-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of Doddridge County on Tuesday.

Harman will have to contain Jacob Wamsley as he made an impact in Tygarts Valley's last game. He went 8-for-10 to rack up 21 points and six boards. Wamsley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Parker Bell was another key player, going 6-for-13 on his way to 15 points.

Tygarts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Harman, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
