San Gabriel Academy entered their tilt with Takoma Academy on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They took down the Takoma Academy Tigers 53-35. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 233rd in California, while the Tigers are ranked 84th in Maryland).

San Gabriel Academy has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Takoma Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
