Baseball Recap: Community Academy of Philadelphia Triumphs

Community Academy of Philadelphia won the last time they faced Solebury and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bruins skirted past the Spartans 9-8.

Jayden Mulero made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Mulero was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Anthony Mulero was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Miguel Vargas Baez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Community Academy of Philadelphia's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Solebury, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Academy of Philadelphia will take on Mercy Career & Technical at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Solebury, they will venture away from home to take on Academy of the New Church at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
