For the second straight game, Las Cruces will face off against Gadsden. The Bulldawgs will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Las Cruces is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Las Cruces and Gadsden meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Bulldawgs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 4-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldawgs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

For Gadsden's part, Robert Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Gadsden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alonso Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Las Cruces' win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Gadsden, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9-1.
