Sierra hadn't done well against Liberty recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chieftains walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Hawks. This was a revenge game for the Chieftains: when they faced off against the Hawks on Tuesday, they had to take a 11-6 defeat.

Zach Lloyd was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Micah Goodman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Sierra is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra will welcome Fowler at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Chieftains surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberty, they will face off against Caruthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
