Baseball Recap: Great Mills Comes Up Short

Great Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvert Cavaliers. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Great Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Calvert, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9.

Great Mills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against North Point on the 27th. Calvert has also already played their next matchup (against Patuxent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
