Softball Recap: George C. Marshall Takes a Loss

George C. Marshall couldn't beat Robinson on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Statesmen fell just short of the Rams by a score of 7-6. While the Statesmen didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 4-0 in the first period.

Reagan Brand led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Devanney, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

George C. Marshall now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Robinson, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 5-6.

George C. Marshall has already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against Herndon on the 22nd. As for Robinson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Lake Braddock on the 22nd.
