Baseball Preview: West Harrison Hurricanes vs. Long Beach Bearcats

The West Harrison Hurricanes will face off against the Long Beach Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Harrison has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 12.

West Harrison is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since February 22nd on Saturday. They fell just short of Hancock by a score of 6-4.

Cameron Sandel and Reece Parker stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sandel scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Parker scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Long Beach and Pascagoula had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bearcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-2 on Saturday.

Drew Dixon was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Flynn James, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

West Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Long Beach, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
