Softball Recap: Hermiston Comes Up Short

Hermiston lost against Kennewick on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Lions, falling 24-18. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly six runs.

Hermiston got a massive performance out of Kenley Venoy, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Sinor, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Hermiston has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Kennewick, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hermiston will take on rival Chiawana at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kennewick is set to face off against their familiar foe Southridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
