Softball Recap: Evans Comes Up Short

Evans dropped to 9-8 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Many Tigers, falling 15-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 21st.

As for Many, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-12. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

For Many's part, they got a massive performance out of Allie Payne, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Payne has posted over her last nine games. Another player making a difference was Caylee Downs, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

Evans has already played their next contest (against Ebarb), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Many, they will venture away from home to take on Buckeye at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
