Game recap: Nolan Catholic High School Football Team tops Trinity Christian

After taking the lead on a Nahshon Ellerbe touchdown run, Trinity Christian (Addison, Texas) went into halftime with a 14-7 lead. Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, Texas) scored the winning points with a two-point conversion that came in the fifth quarter.

Despite scoring seven points in the third, the Vikings still trailed by 14 points going into the fourth quarter. But 21 points in the fourth helped Nolan Catholic pull out the victory.

Nolan Catholic's most effective player was Luke Alves. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.

The loss comes after Trinity Christian defeated Wakeland 37-34 last week. The win brought Nolan Catholic's winning streak to four games.

In a TAPPS Division I District 1 game next week Nolan Catholic (4-2) takes on Bishop Lynch, and Trinity Christian (4-1) will go up against Bishop Lynch also in a TAPPS Division I District 1 game.
