Basketball Recap: Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lutheran played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 69-25 loss at the hands of the Summerfield Bulldogs. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Means, who posted six points and five boards. Means is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Luke Perez, who earned four points.

Lutheran dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Summerfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Lutheran will challenge Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lutheran is facing Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit at the right time seeing as Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Summerfield, they will take on Whiteford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Summerfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Whiteford likes a good challenge.
