Softball Recap: Webster/Siren Takes a Loss

Webster/Siren couldn't beat Turtle Lake/Clayton on Tuesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the first inning. The Tigers lost 26-10 to the Titans. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Abbi Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Izzzy Hill was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Webster/Siren's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Webster/Siren will head out on the road to square off against Bruce at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Turtle Lake/Clayton has already played their next game (against Unity), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
