Football Recap: Donnie Johnson III Key Part of Team Effort in Dons Win + How To Watch

Dominguez had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 6-0 to make it four. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Paramount Pirates. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Dons have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Dominguez's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donnie Johnson III, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 112 yards and one TD. Those 63 rushing yards gave Johnson III a new career-high.

Dominguez didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daveon Brim and Jaymier Williams.

As for Paramount, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly seven points.

Despite the loss, Paramount still got an impressive performance from Dae'Jon Massey, who rushed for 92 yards and one score, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Deon Anthony got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Coming up, Dominguez will head out to square off against Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Paramount, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-13 loss against Mayfair on the 9th.
