Basketball Recap: Olean Takes a Loss

Olean lost against Williamsville East back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Olean Huskies were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Williamsville East Flames.

Olean's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Williamsville East, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olean will challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pioneer knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Olean likes a good challenge. As for Williamsville East, they will face off against Williamsville North at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Williamsville North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Williamsville East likes a good challenge.
