Softball Recap: Lanphier Lions vs. Danville Vikings        
        
		
            
 Lanphier was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Danville Vikings by a score of  23-22. One positive for Lanphier, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
  Tamaih Jefferson and  Naveah Montgomery did some serious damage despite the final result:  Jefferson  scored five  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in five of her six plate appearances, while  Montgomery  went 4-for-5 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Journey Doss, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Lanphier  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
 Lanphier's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Danville,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lanphier's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Rochester at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Danville will take on Oakwood at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
