Volleyball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

Lutheran North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Clayton Greyhounds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-9.

Haley Nelson paced Lutheran North's offense, picking up four kills. Nelson got some help from Jayla Everage and her eight assists. Everage was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16-1. As for Clayton, they moved to 12-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Lutheran North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clayton, they will face off against University City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
