Soccer Recap: Menomonie Comes Up Short

Menomonie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the River Falls Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Menomonie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while River Falls are ranked 37th).

Menomonie now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for River Falls, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Menomonie is set to challenge their familiar foe Chippewa Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, River Falls will take on rival New Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
