Soccer Game Preview: Richland vs. Sanger

The Richland Raiders will face off against the Sanger Indians at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Sanger took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Richland, who comes in off a win.

Richland's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Aubrey as they made off with a 4-0 win. Richland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sanger has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 20. They lost 4-0 to Gainesville on Monday. While losing is never fun, Sanger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 768th, while Gainesville are ranked 92nd).

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Richland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Everything went Richland's way against Sanger when the teams last played back in January, as Richland made off with a 4-0 victory. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
