Basketball Recap: Clay Comes Up Short

Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Bellevue Redmen, falling 77-15. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 670th, while the Redmen are ranked third).

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Bellevue, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Looking ahead, Clay will square off against Anthony Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Bellevue, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shelby at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
