Recap: Claxton vs. Swainsboro
The Claxton Tigers's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Swainsboro a 4-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Claxton considering their one-goal performance the match before.
They hit Swainsboro with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Marissa Ramirez,
Melissa Ajtun,
Belinda Ajtun, and
Conner Miller.
The victory got Claxton back to even at 1-1. As for Swainsboro, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claxton will take on Savannah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Swainsboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Treutlen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Swainsboro's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
