Woodland has gone 8-2 against Wadley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Woodland Bobcats will head out to take on the Wadley Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m.
It was a proper cat-fight when Woodland challenged Cleburne County on Monday. Woodland came up short against Cleburne County, falling 11-1. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, everything went Wadley's way against Randolph County on Saturday as Wadley made off with a 12-4 win.
Ty Taylor made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Landon Gilliland was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jaylon Marable also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Wadley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wadley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
