Surry Central strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Starmount Rams as they made off with a 55-31 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Golden Eagles have posted against the Rams since January 4, 2022.

Surry Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Presley Smith out in front who posted ten points and four steals. Sierra Carpenter was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Surry Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Surry Central's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Starmount, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Surry Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Forsyth at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Starmount, they will square off against East Surry at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
