Baseball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 11-8 to the Homer-Center Wildcats. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Homer-Center, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Valley will head out to square off against Westmont Hilltop at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Homer-Center, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop McCort at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
