While Gulf Coast might've come up empty on Thursday, Colton Schlief wasn't going down without a fight. Schlief wasn't messing around, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was his third straight with one or fewer walks.

Even though Schlief couldn't lead Gulf Coast over Fort Myers, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Schlief's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Sharks' four-game streak of wins at home.
