McAlester entered their tilt with Spiro on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Buffaloes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McAlester pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Spiro, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Coming up, McAlester will venture away from home to face off against Booker T. Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Booker T. Washington has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.2 runs per game on average), something McAlester will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Spiro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holland Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
