Baseball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Takes a Loss

Thomas Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Mountain View Mountain Lions.

Jesus Flores-Sanchez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Thomas Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Mountain View, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson will host George Washington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Mountain View, they will square off against Thompson Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
