It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Plainfield North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Naperville Central Redhawks 13-12. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Redhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Naperville Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Plainfield North is taking a road trip to square off against St. Charles East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Saints will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Naperville Central, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Plainfield East at 10:00 a.m. The Redhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bengals have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
