Volleyball Recap: Fort Zumwalt East Takes a Loss

Fort Zumwalt East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Fort Zumwalt East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-23.

Fort Zumwalt East now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Fort Zumwalt North, they moved to 7-10-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fort Zumwalt East is set to square off against their familiar foe North Point at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Zumwalt North will take on rival Holt at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
