Football Game Preview: Archie Whirlwinds vs. Drexel/Miami

The Archie Whirlwinds will head out to challenge Drexel/Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archie knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Drexel/Miami likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Archie humbled Bishop LeBlond with a 71-22 victory. The win continues a trend for the Whirlwinds in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Drexel/Miami). They blew past Rich Hill, posting a 72-20 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Drexel/Miami now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Archie, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Archie against Drexel/Miami in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Whirlwinds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
