Baseball Recap: Steeleville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Steeleville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Waltonville Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steeleville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Fiene, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Steeleville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Waltonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Steeleville nor Waltonville have any future games scheduled.
