The Rogers Heritage War Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Eastside as Rogers Heritage made off with a 64-39 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Rogers Heritage as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Eastside saw an underclassman step up: Kristen Mcbride scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals. Mcbride hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Miracle Cheeks, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Rogers Heritage's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Eastside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
Rogers Heritage will be playing in front of their home fans against Fayetteville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastside and Blue Ridge will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Blue Ridge will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
