Baseball Game Preview: Westfield Mustangs vs. Spring Lions + Official Tickets

For the second straight game, Westfield will face off against Spring. The Mustangs will host the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westfield has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring hit Westfield with a seven-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs lost 11-1 to the Lions. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Spring's part, Julian Curry was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Curry a new career-high. Nolan Wilkerson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Spring, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
