Basketball Recap: Becker Piles Up the Points Against North Branch

Becker waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the North Branch Vikings to the tune of 80-36. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Vikings are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Becker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Weiss out in front who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Paumen, who had 16 points.

Becker is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for North Branch, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
