Basketball Recap: Cohoes Comes Up Short

The Cohoes Tigers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 41-35 to the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Flying Dutchmen 12-7 in the first quarter.

Cohoes' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Guilderland, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Looking ahead, Cohoes will face off against La Salle Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Cadets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Guilderland, they will square off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flying Dutchmen will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
