Basketball Recap: Caney Valley Comes Up Short

Caney Valley lost against Nowata back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Caney Valley Trojans fell 53-46 to the Nowata Ironmen. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Ironmen are ranked 181st).

Caney Valley dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Nowata, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Caney Valley nor Nowata have any future games scheduled.
