Softball Game Preview: Chaparral Cowboys vs. Desert Oasis Diamondbacks

Chaparral is 0-3 against Desert Oasis since March of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cowboys will square off against the Diamondbacks at 3:30 p.m. Chaparral has given up an average of 19.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chaparral is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They lost 19-1 to Foothill. That's two games in a row now that the Cowboys have lost by exactly 18 runs.

Meanwhile, while Desert Oasis put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Las Vegas. The Diamondbacks were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Wildcats. The Diamondbacks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Kaitlyn Dunigan was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Hailey Fore was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Desert Oasis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Desert Oasis now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Chaparral, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Chaparral might still be hurting after the 19-0 defeat they got from Desert Oasis in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Cowboys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
